Softball, Soreness and Birthdays

May 23, 2007
Filed under: From HSB — BenjieP @ 6:00 pm

Sunday was Eric P’s Birthday. Our Family, and The Eicher Family was all invited over to the parma baseball diamond to play softball that afternoon at 4. So, at about…. 3:15 Lynda called over asking if we were comming/anybody was on their way there, and of course, nobody had gone quite yet so the answer was no. Though, I didn’t say that even though I was the person who picked up the phone! Noooo, I asked her if she wanted to talk to Rebecca(who just happened to by walking by asking who it was!) and, of course, she said “sure”! After Rebecca got off the phone with Lynda, Her and Mary proceeded to go down there to see if we needed to bring what we made(well, it was food for afterwards…) then or later. He said later, because we would be eating at their house and this would be at the baseball diamond(as I mentioned earlier!). Meanwhile, basically it’s just guys home at this time, for, Rachel and Mom had gone to town to get groceries or something of that nature. Why is this significant? well, it’s not unless you count not having a car for a few minutes. After a while all the girls got home(within a couple minutes of eachother, I think they met in town), and we headed off to the baseball diamond(after we gathered up a couple folding chairs for Mom and Dad.). When we got there, the Eichers hadn’t arrived. So, we decided to just play for a while anyways(we weren’t sure if they were really comming anyways). So, we just played with enough to have three bases, pitcher, catcher, outfielder and a batter(a lot of times no outfielder). It was fun! Eventually Isaac came up with the idea to just make all the basemen rotate so that everyone would get a turn eventually. That worked out pretty well for a while, and then after an hour or two, I was(and I think everybody else was) about ready to call it quits when, guess what we see rounding the corner? The Eichers Van! yay! They pulled in to the parking area and everybody quickly piled out of the van. Everybody out on the field. No teams yet! We just played batting for a while, then after a few, asigned teams. It was really fun. For the most part of the game, we were ahead. But in the last inning, I think they scored about 20 points :|(what happened??) so, needless to say, we lost! We played a bit more after that, and then all departed, all tired. We played for about 4 hours out there…. After that, we headed over to Eric and Lynda’s house for dinner!(Eichers didn’t go. They had to get back to New Plymouth) Boy were we hungry!(at least I was) Eric was Barbacueing hamburger. It was all very good! I only had one helping and I was full… I just drank tea and lemonaid after that(that is, until we got out to the car…). Anna and Caleb left for home first, then we just talked in the living room for a while and headed home.(and I had a brownie in the car :P) The End. oh, I was very sore yesterday. Not really all the much today, but yesterday was bad! That’s all for now folks!! Benjamin

Golden Corral

Filed under: Everyday stuff, Family, From HSB — BenjieP @ 2:29 pm

Today Grandma and Grandpa took us out to eat at the Golden Corral. But I’ll get to that after I explain a few other things :). Rachel, Rebecca and Mom are all gone with Anna to CA!(that probably includes zeke with her!) So, they left early this morning(before I woke anyways, not necessarily early! lol!). I didn’t get a chance to say goodbye, but Mom called back later and I did then :). Anyways, the house has been quiet around here since they left! The only girl in the house is Mary… So, it’s interesting!
I got on this morning, around 8:30. Did a few things on the comp and off the comp. Then I chatted some. Then grandma and Grandpa came over. So I got off, and around 1, we headed out to Golden Corral! No, I didn’t overly stuff myself(what a sin eh?). Though, I did eat a good portion. Anyways, after that, we stopped by Grandma and Grandpa’s fifth wheel and their new one is pretty big compared to their last one. It has a tip out. :D Grandma and Grandpa gave Isaac and Mary their b-day gifts as well, because of past birthdays they missed(they already sent me my gift in the mail).
So, after we got home(Grandma and Grandpa just dropped us off), not much happened. I talked to Dad, and then played my accordion, then got online. It’s kinda taken me a while to write this post(I keep getting distracted.), but hey, I posted… I should post some pics or something sometime soon… :) see y’all! Benjamin

6:25 in the morning, I’m up. Early for me, I dunno about some of you… But moving on… I haven’t really been able to put much of an entry in lately, so, I’ll try and remember a few things in this post. Mary’s been home for a while it seems, about 3 or 4 tuesdays ago. It was great seeing her again, she was really hyper when she got home though. At Denver airport, she had stopped in at a coffee shop and gotten a double shot americano, and then made friends with the coffee shop owners, so they gave her a free one. So, when she was on the plane from there to here, she was wide awake! After she got here, she said she had a headache, but was really excited so she went through all her stuff and unpacked it and we all stayed up till about 2-2:30.

After that, is a sorta blur on my memory now. I did this and that all through it. Nothing too interesting that I can remember. The neasham anual easter celebration happpened in there. That was very fun. If anyone reading this blog ever plans on visiting here, around then would probably be the best time. First, everybody just has a lunch, then we sing. Then after the prayer, we all go outside and smash eggs(loaded with confetti, not with the traditional innards of an egg) on eachothers heads :), and after egg smashing, we typicly go out and play shooting games. Doug from figio was there, he said next year he was bringing his wife because he had so much fun.

Let’s see… oh yes, the night before the neasham celebration, we went over to the scotts to visit. We had a good time, Nathan beat me at chess… I’m generally better than that at chess, but I’m way rusty. He said he was too, but I guess I just rusted faster! Turns out Ariel is learning accordion too. Nice to see people picking up good instruments :D.

Let’s see… what else should I speak of? hmmm… The yard hasn’t been looking quite as well as this spring. It never does during the summer. In fact, it will probably just shrivel up and die. Oh well.
We drained out the pressure tank the other day. Now the water pressure is all nice now. It’s a lot nicer. Though, we still need to fix/get a new irrigation pump, this will help for now.

Hmmm… The other day we went over to some friends of ours house to play cards. That was fun. More than just the card part, but it was fun :D.

Well, I guess that’s all for now folks!

He is Risen!

April 8, 2007
Filed under: From HSB, exhortations — BenjieP @ 11:22 am

Happy Day to you all! Whether it’s Easter, Ressurection Sunday, Passover or just a day, He is risen! Night before last I finished Genesis, so I thought I might as well go and read the last two chapters of Luke. It really made today seem special :). the tomb is empty, Jesus is risen. Ya know, something that just occurred to me… most of the disciples didn’t see Jesus until the day after easter! interesting thought… Anyways I’ll tell ya about what happened this mornin:

This morning I was awakened by Rebecca stating there was what I heard as “a holstein cat” outside that needed brought in; “what in the world do I need to bring in a cat for???” I wondered. But then, as I climbed down the stairs on my hands and knees, it occurred to me…. err wait, I didn’t climb down the stairs on my hands and knees! lol!
*ahem* after I had gone down two flights of stairs to arrive at the downstairs, It finally became clear to me that “No, not cat! CALF!!!!!!” And sure enough, walk out to the road and there was a new-born calf. So I ran over there and picked it up
Well, I went over there, half asleep and just sorta blankly stared at it for a while… Then finally I picked it up and boy was it heavy! I moved it over vloser to the gate and set it down(it can walk btw, as you will soon notice). And then, we somehow brought it inside the gate and tried to get it to lie down, but it didn’t wanna, so after a while, it just ran under a tree that was shelter enough and we decided it was good there. Rebecca gave it some instant milk stuff to hold it over till we can find the owner… I may post pics :P.
And then I came inside and took off my coat and shoes, then I thought to myself “why doncha go get some pics?” so I did, I put on my shoes again and went out there and took pics. Only a few mind you, and they weren’t any good either.

And anyways, After that, I came inside and Rachel was just getting up and so I told her about the visitor. And she was surprised as well and looked out the window. Then we all just sorta shrugged it off and went off to do our own thing. And so, before I got on the computer, I proceeded to flip the bottons on my accordion case, open it, pick up my accordion, put it on, sit on the couch and play:

LOW IN THE GRAVE HE LAY

Low in the grave He lay, Jesus my Savior,
Waiting the coming day, Jesus my Lord!
Refrain
Up from the grave He arose,
With a mighty triumph o’er His foes,
He arose a Victor from the dark domain,
And He lives forever, with His saints to reign.
He arose! He arose!
Hallelujah! Christ arose!
Vainly they watch His bed, Jesus my Savior;
Vainly they seal the dead, Jesus my Lord!
Refrain
Death cannot keep its Prey, Jesus my Savior;
He tore the bars away, Jesus my Lord!
Refrain

Have a wonderful day all!

Well, I’ve decided that Linux is a piece of junk and it was totally wrong of me to call windows windoze. It’s perfectly stable and works like a charm. Instead of Opera or Firefox, I’ve decided to switch to intelligent explorer and live life in style. I’ve decided, instead of improving software, we need to improve hardware and buy the more luxerious things in life! Goodbye Linux Hello Windows! QXByaWwgRm9vbHMhIDpE P.S. So,  this morning, at 7:45 I heard mom yelling for everybody to wake up. And well, it’d been really windy the night before so I figured there was probably some major wind damage and that was the reason. Somebody came up and banged on our door really hard "what could be THAT urgent this time of morning?" I thought to myself. Not all that much exciting really happens around here. So, I get up slowly and then Rebecca finally open the door and says "The tree in the front yard fell over!". "Oh, that’s what happened!" So I got up slowly and headed over to the window and low and behold yup sure enough, there was the tree, fallen on top of Mom’s car, Mary’s car and Isaacs car. Enjoy the pics ;).
