“I’ve Got BIG time.”

author Posted by: BenjieP on date Oct 23rd, 2008 | filed Filed under: Family, rants

Bethany: Can I play a game here? (in reference to my computer)
Me: Noo, your mommy said you don’t need to play games right now!
Bethany: How about on Isaac’s computer?
Me: No Bethany, you don’t need to play games right now… You’ll waste all your little time away! :D
Bethany: I’ve got BIG time. (and she sits down on ths computer)

You know, she’s not all that wrong about that… When you get older, you get little time, but when you’re older, you get “BIG” time! :D ah bliss.

A Handwritten Letter… Cool

author Posted by: BenjieP on date Aug 30th, 2008 | filed Filed under: Everyday stuff, rants

So, today I got some replies to all the letters I sent to the Appleby’s. It was really cool… I haven’t corresponded with anyone since… ah… almost 5 years ago. That makes me feel old :P

So, what do you think? Is email better, or is it just more convenient? Are offline methods a thing of the past, or is there something special about them? Did you know that you can tell things about peoples’ personalities just by reading their handwriting? For instance….

  • How high you cross your T’s is related to how high of goals you set.
  • Whether you dot your lower case i farther forward, or farther backwards, is related to whether you tend to think towards the future or the past.
  • If you tend to use wide loops in your letters, it means you’re enthusiastic.
  • A forward slant means you’re emotional. (backwards means the opposite)

Interesting huh?

I wouldn’t say that writing letters is really the most effective, or efficient way of communicating, but then, it is nice to get a letter every once in a while eh?

I Been Workin’ On The Railroad

author Posted by: BenjieP on date Mar 3rd, 2008 | filed Filed under: Everyday stuff, Family, rants

Well, been working on a lot of different projects lately! It’s been really interesting :D

Ummm what else to say? My two sisters and one of my brother’s are getting married. This will be one crazy year I tell ya, but that’s what makes it tick eh? Anthony (Mary’s Fiance`) came up for a visit in February, and we all went to the Valentine’s day tea(pictures to come). That was purty fun.

I’m almost done with the senior center website. Gotta hear back from Shari though.

Got a lot of projects going to.

Spring’s comming on! Aren’t you excited?!

My birthday’s in 13 days!

That’s it for now!

Up up up!

author Posted by: BenjieP on date Feb 4th, 2008 | filed Filed under: Everyday stuff, rants

Well, it’s about time I update eh? Here it goes…

Life’s been going really good for me lately. Not that something really big is comming that I know, but maybe I’m just learning to be content and moving forward.

I’ve been working on several websites lately, and it’s been interesting. Back in December I found a method to get a lot of traffic to certain types of sites, so I worked on that for some time. Now I’ve been working on a membership site that will hopefully bring in some revenue for the family business. Our family has also been progressing on the business front, and I think it’s going really really well :D

While making this membership site, I’ve been learning a bit more of php, which is really good! I learn best when I’m doing. I can sit down and read a book, but if I can’t use it, it just can’t keep my attention! This has been good for me though, and so even if it doesn’t bring in revenues(which I really think it will), it’ll be a really great experience.

I kind of stopped on the link of the week, which I’m sorry about. I’ll try to get some links in and at least keep something consistant for you readers ;) Maybe I’ll start something else up these blogs too. I think I’ve got time… :D

Let’s see… I was going to say something, but I spaced it! Sorry! Ummm all this marketing education and online education is really showing me a lot. Like the real mechanics of how people work, and what they like. If nothing else, I suppose I’ll know how to communicate and get a good job! LOL

Sooo I’m yammering on now. What should I post about? I’ll figure out something I’m sure ^_^ Maybe I’ll do a giveaway or something :P

Well, see y’all!

Waking Up To My Alarm

author Posted by: BenjieP on date Jan 24th, 2008 | filed Filed under: Everyday stuff, rants

I don’t have a patricularly annoying alarm. Well, it beeps and all, but not annoyingly or loudly enough to wake me up when it first beeps. So, in light of this, I’ll state that I take a little while to wake up to my alarm; This brings me to the funny story of the morning.

This morning was no different than most, except I was dreaming, and I remembered it! Why? Well you have my good friend Mr. Alarm Clock to thank for that! (Thanks ‘Larm!) So anyways, on to the story. I was dreaming lightly, because there was this nagging noise in the room saying “Beep! Beep! Beep!” What could this mean? A cryptic message from a far away galaxy? Not exactly….

It was (oh duh) the Alarm Clock!

So now that I’m hearing this alarm clock, naturally it comes in to my dreams and makes itself at home! “I’ll just take the spare room!” It would have said. Actually it was just saying “Beep beep beep.” So anyways, I let it in, and it started playing mind tricks on me.

“Turn it off!” Was the thought I had. Pretty good one don’t you think? I thought it was, so I proceeded to, in my dreamy state, turn it off! Fine and dandy; turn over in my bed, reach for the switch and turn it off. “Now I can go back to sleep!” Right? Ummm wrong.

You see, I didn’t realize it yet, but the problem with this scenario was that I wasn’t really awake. All of this was done in dreamworld. So when I turned off the alarm, the noise didn’t stop!

Now I have to think up where that noise is comming from. “Ah ha! Must be [name omitted]’s alarm!” So I went and turned his alarm off, which was, conveniently placed on top of the wooden bunkbed in my room.

The noise didn’t stop!!!

This is when my senses finally kicked in; I finally realized, after drifting slightly in to wakefulness “I’m asleep!”

Yes, I was asleep. Not only was I asleep, but I was sleeping, thinking I was influencing my world when, I probably wasn’t even moving at all. So, with this new found knowledge, I wake up, and turn off the alarm. Silence. Ahhh finally!

And that was funny…. Laugh.

Good Morning.

Well, Despite stayiing up late, I’m waking up fairly early(7:30). Lately I’ve been wanting to wake up early. For some reason, staying up late really doesn’t seem like a good solution. The old saying “Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise.” Comes to mind… Anyways.

Thanksgiving’s comming around! Are you all feeling thankful right now? I am I know. I do hope that, thanksgiving isn’t the only time we’re thankful though. Thanksgiving should be an everyday holiday(minus the turkey! That might get a little old!). Doncha think so?

*yawns*(yes I really did!) I’m still waking up. I should have delayed this post so that I could collect my thoughts! Wouldn’t that be a great hobby? Thought collecting…

O_o OK ummm well, Here I will post a small portion of my unwritten thankfulness list, in list format.

    Goodness Gracious!

author Posted by: BenjieP on date Sep 22nd, 2007 | filed Filed under: Everyday stuff, rants

Good morning everybody! I woke up at 10:00. Let me tell you, I’m nicely rested.

Hmmm what to write about? I need a haircut. I’m not sure but I don’t *think* I wanna look like a hippy all winter really! Or even a… Skateboarder!

Well, today’s saturday. You know what that means? Something very special. :D Did you know that every saturday is almost totally different from the previous one? It’s true. ^_^ It’s sortof a law of change :P Every saturday(sunday, monday, tuesday, wednesday,t hurday, friday) is different from the previous saturday(sunday, monday, tuesday, wednesday, thursday, friday). Cool huh? :D

Did I mention that Rebecca got a truck? Yep she did. It’s not new but it works. :D Ok so it’s not really a truck, it’s a toyota PICKUP. Big difference. :P

Andy hasn’t been by but once this week. He wasn’t feeling good that time either. Hope he’s alright! He needs prayer though. :)

You know what? Mary and Isaac went all the way to wear the brown stuff grows(well, I guess it’s green, then red, then green…), and didn’t bring any home!! NO COFFEE! The most haitian things they brought home was gourdes(pronounce:goods). The bills and coins are funky. Almost as funky as their Tap Taps. Ok not quite… :D

I’m not sure what else to write about. BYE!

Thousands of windows…. well tabs… well ok not quite..

author Posted by: BenjieP on date Jul 13th, 2007 | filed Filed under: rants

Yesterday, my entire session got erased on opera. I really dislike it when that happens, because, generally, I have thousands like 50 tabs open at once. And so, I’ve lost all of those handy little tabs I had open :( . I should start bookmarking. But, I never can quite do it :P

    who bookmarks everything anyways??

    Coffee Anyone?

author Posted by: BenjieP on date Jun 13th, 2007 | filed Filed under: Coffee, rants

Well, the reason for the title of this post, has to do with something of the past. Back when Mary got home from haiti, she brought home three kinds of coffee to try out from there. Not very much mind you, but a few packs of it. Needless to say, all of it was pretty good, but we decided one was better than the rest(actually, one of the kinds we didn’t get a chance to try out because Mary gave it to Minnie’s Dad).

So, naturally, since Minnie just happens to have stayed in Haiti an extra month, Mary tells her to get us a bunch of coffee! And well, she did. We now have enough coffee to last us all year I shouldn’t wonder!

And thus ends the rant on coffee.
