Well, It’s already January 3rd, but I figured a post about the new year isn’t too late. Hey, we’ve got 362 days left in this year!

Lots of people make resolutions on New Years. I never really saw much of a point in doing that until this year. It’s not so much that you have to set resolutions on New Years, it’s more like, you should set resolutions on New Years if it happens to be New Years, because you’ll probably remember them.

Anyways, I didn’t really set any “resolutions” for 2009, because I guess I have some goals already in mind. But, I did decide that in 2009, I’m going to expect more, do more, achieve more, and learn more. I really enjoyed 2008, but now that we’re in a new year, it calls for more than the last one.

So, just to spark off the new year, clickbank decided to kick in and make me a $30 sale on New Years Eve, then proceeded to get me a $100 sale today, making today’s total so far, $150 approximately. So that’s really cool.

Okay, now that I have some stuff that may be difficult to comment on, here’s something a little bit easier…

What’s missing about my blog? Any idea’s? Want more personal updates, want more information updates, or just want more updates?

Leave me some sort of comment anyways

Today, many will go to the polls in their individual towns, cities, and states, and they will vote for whoever they see fit to be president and leader of our country. This day in history, we will decide who, for the next four years will cast the deciding vote on most, if not all decisions made in our government and country.

But that’s not what this post is about. I won’t tell you who I feel should be president this term, but I do want to take this opportunity to encourage you, and everyone who reads this to pray that whoever gets in, that it be God’s will, and not ours. He’s the one who casts the deciding vote. When all is said and done, the thing we need to remember about this day is that we did voice our opinion, and we did ask that God’s will be done.

So, I guess what I want to say is, vote, then pray. If it’s God’s will that we get a bad president, then that will be our wake up call. If it’s God’s will that we get a good president, then that will be our years of plenty. The important part is that we stand with God, and not with men.

And so, if you haven’t Voted yet, do so! If you haven’t Prayed yet, do so! And may God’s will win.

Hey Guy’s, Sorry for not writing in so long! I’ve been busily working away for the past few weeks. Really fun, but fills up the day nicely making little room for blog posting.

Anyways let’s see… What’s been up hmm? Work mostly! Which is working on my online business. Then a lot of in-betweens. I’ll list out some interesting things.

• Mom is gone to a womens retreat. (Will be back tonight I think)
• Isaac went on a one-day trip to Salem OR
• Rachel got her drivers license
• It’s cold now. (BRRRR!!)

Hmm… can’t think of much else. Then, detailing about things happening day-to-day is different than recalling the past is it not?

Today I’m on a roll. I’ve installed a blog, written some posts, installed some plugins, almost did a handspring, (hey, give me time!) gone for a run, and did 30 sit-ups! (That’s really good for me)

So yeah, today is going to be a great day. The sun’s shining, I’ve got lots I can do, and I’m ready to do it! It’s really awesome.

I was just thinking though…Why is today going so good? Is it because yesterday went good? Is it because I got a good nights’ rest? Is it just… because? I think there’s a bit of a correlation I can track between today and yesterday.

I went to sleep in a good mood.

Yesterday was a good day also. The night before, I was a bit disappointed in myself for not writing articles, but I decided that I should wake up tomorrow and be ready to do it all. But to put myself in a good mood for the night, I began reading my Bible again. You see, for the last few days (or week or whatever it is) I haven’t been reading my bible, except for the verses I read in the morning. (and sometimes I’d even skip that!) So that night, I read 1 Timothy 1, and went to sleep. It had a profound effect on the following day. Not to mention the funny dreams I had that night…

So, a word of advice. You want tomorrow to go good? Go to bed with something you’re looking forward to. Read your Bible and get some purpose for the next day.

Okay, this post is for just in case you would like to make some money sitting at your desk writing articles. There’s no application to fill out (except a web form), you’re not working for clients (unless you want to), and how much you make depends on how much, and how well you write.

How many Words Per Minute can you type? If it’s anything above 20 (and it should be if you’ve been on the net very long…) then you can make $9+ an hour writing articles.

They don’t have to be anything special, ground breaking, earth shaking, or even new news for that matter. They just have to have proper spelling, good grammar, a unique way of saying something, and at least 400 words in them.

Just cutting to the chase, there’s a website called Associated Content that will pay you upfront for unique articles you’ve written. The minimum is $3, but they pay more, the more unique or “newsworthy” your article is.

If you can write 3 articles per hour (one every 20 minutes… that’s about 20 WPM average if you do 400 words.) you’ll make at least $9 an hour. They will pay a lot for a really good article though… a lot of people get paid $10 for their articles, and I’ve even heard of a $50 article before.

So, go and check them out.

Q&A

• Can I reuse the content I post elsewhere, say, a blog?

Yep. You can’t use content that you’ve already published on your blog, or elsewhere, but you can reuse it if you first publish it to Associated Content and with an Non-Exclusive License.

• Have you gotten paid? Are they for real?

Yep. I’ve gotten paid (they pay by paypal) and so I know they’re certainly for real. I wouldn’t even recommend them if they weren’t…

• Who is this ideal for?

Stay at home Mom’s come to mind, but basically, anyone who’s self-motivated, and wants to work from home. Oh yeah, you have to be able to write.

• I’m not a writer… Why would they want my content?

Good question. I’m not a writer either, but they still pay me for my content. Give yourself some credit though: Writers are people who write. You can become one very easily just by… writing.

We have two new pets in the house: A male, and a female Parakeet. We haven’t named them yet, but so far, they seem to like music. That is, when I played some accordion, they started dancing (no joke) and when I played piano, they chirped along. So, here’s some pics.

Last night, I finished. I did my usual ritual: Turn on the light, sit down at my desk, read my bible. But this time, I finished Revelation! So, now I’ve finished reading the bible cover to cover for the third time… Now what? I haven’t really decided.

Should I start again?

Should I take it one book at a time?

Should I study one chapter at a time?

Good questions… I don’t know the answer to that yet! It is cool to have done this three times though… There’s been a lot to learn in that time, and I wouldn’t trade that for the world.

Here’s a post!

I’ll tell you about the wedding and the days before in the next post hopefully. Not only that, but I’ll probably have the pictures from Rebecca’s wedding too. So, in the meantime, take a look at this pie chart.

Hi everybody! I know I need to write a post, so here it is.

I haven’t updated since christmas huh? Well, we had a good christmas I’d say. On christmas eve we went and performed at a bed and breakfast. It was pretty fun, and low key. I brought my accordion and stuff. We got some pictures, which I think you can see at Rachel’s Blog.

And yeah, that night we all opened presents. I got some blankets, some screwdrivers, and a remote controlled helicopter later in the mail from Micah. It was a good christmas pretty much. We had family over and stuff, and had a good time. Micah watched it all on webcam too.

Then on christmas day, we went over to Anna and Caleb’s house for christmas dinner. It was good

After all of the christmas things were over, came a bit of time for recooperation, and then the next big day: New Years!

We went over to the scotts house for the new years party, and had fun. We did a lot of different stuff, and we stayed up until about 3 AM instead of just midnight. Needless to say, I went to sleep pretty quickly once I got to bed!

Umm, since then not too much has happened, but life’s been good. I haven’t done much more on my accordion, but I did get that button unstuck
