OK, today was Sunday and a long ahead planned visit to the soiwers(sp?) for a barbecue this afternoon. Well, all things did go along as planned really. First Anna and Caleb came by after church, and after helping us make some tater salad, they took me with them to their house for us to wait for Mom and Dad(the reason I went with them was due to lack of space in our car. Rebecca had one in ontario, so she’d be stopping by Anna and Calebs place!). Well, after maybe a couple minutes, Rebecca showed up and came inside.

Well, Since one of our cars was here and, that certain car just happened to be the car that Mom had gone yardsaling in the other day with me, this certain car just happened to have a pair of size three boots that Anna and Caleb were looking for and Mom had bought for Anna and Calebs friend, Kaylee, the next door neighbor. Well, since, on this ocasion Caleb had James go give them to her, and she just happened to come out the door, he yelled out to her “hey! Ya wanna go to a singsperation?” and she said “What’s that??” and he said “well we’re gonna go to a barbecue and sing songs afterwards!” and she said she’d ask her mom……….. “what time will I be getting home??” “oh, probably about 7 or around there!”. So, she decided to come! Anyways, yeah me and James were on either side of the van with food in the middle at first but, apearantly when she came out, the only space for her would have been on top the food(unless we moved it)(which we did). So, she got to sit in the middle.

For quite a ways up there(it was about an hours drive I think), James and I played I spy! Just like on the John day trip. It was fun really. We were hammin it up! I can’t remember, but I think we might’ve played I spy the entire way! SIDE NOTE: When playing I spy in the car, when in doubt, pic a tree. END SIDE NOTE. Anyways, getting up there involved going up a dirt road which, I’m sorry to disapoint you but, no breakdowns did occur on the dirt road.

Ahhh when we got there though! That’s a nice place :D. It’s not like ritsy or really fancy, but it’s like what anyone who lived out in the country would want! A big house, with a big front porch, lots of land, a grove of trees on the side with a swings, hammocks and a couple streams that trickle in to a pond out front of the house with a canoe in it!

It was very nice. When we first got there, they were barbecueing out front, and we talked for a little while, told the family all our names, and then Caleb and I went out and tried out the canoe :D. I like canoeing. It’s lots of fun. I went out and canoed several times that day. Anyways, ummm after we got done with that canoe ride, I believe I went and did it with James, and then dinner time came around, and I had a hamburger, some fruit salad, some tater salad, some chips and a cup of lemonaid. It was a good meal, but I was pretty full afterwards.

I went up the hill a little because I saw a porch swing up there swinging out of a tree. I took a pic or two of it, but I don’t think they would be too interesting directly ;). Anyways, as I was up there taking pictures, Rebecca came along and wanted a pic, so she got hers, and then she wanted to take mine, so she got mine. Yes sir. But, I won’t post those here. Anyways, me and her noticed a horse shoe game there, so we plaued for a little bit, and then I headed over to the porch and sat down. Caleb asked Kaylee if she wanted to play horse shoes but, of course he had zeke on his shoulders so, he asked me to come and play with her. So, I played horse shoes. I’m not any good, but it’s an ok game :). Then James came along with a camera and was taking pictures all the time. Then he decided he wanted to play horse shoes, so he had Kaylee hodl the camera while he played with me. He won. oh well :P.

And then… let’s see… what did we do? I think that was when we went and canoed again, me and James. Then, I’ll skip a few details which I don’t remember andget on to the singing. All this time, it had been overcast and raining off and on, sometimes thundering. And we sang for probably an hour and it was all blue skies after that! :D

After we sang, James and I went out and canoed for a little bit again, then we had an iron man race, where we ran up a hill and ran back down it. That was really pretty fun (and I got a pic at the top…. Actually I got more than one but, that was all that I felt like posting. As you can see way off in the far right lower corner, there’s Caleb and a couple others canoeing.) but one downside was, on the way down I rolled my ankle. So yeah, that stank. Anyways, yeah after that, Rebecca wanted to go canoeing but Mary and Kaylee were in the Canoe, so Rebecca and I went for a walk around the pond before canoeing :).

After we canoed it was time to go, so we left and we played I spy for part of the way home, and I got bored so I did the wubber woom and the rubber head speel a few times. And then when we made it to Anna and Calebs house, we waited around for a while before Dad and the rest of em got there, and then headed home after a few minutes.

OK! Now I will take some time to post some pictures!

oh, I thought your haircut looked pretty nice! Zeke’s awful cute!
Very pretty place…sounds like a nice house too!

I’ve never been canoeing…I’ve never had the chance, but if I did, I don’t know if I would; I’d be afraid it’d tip over! We just had a big boat that we went boating in, big enough for the whole family (when there was a couple less of us, and we were all smaller!)

  2. Anne Says:

Sometime I’ll tell you the story of Dad forgetting to put the plug in the boat!

  3. Anne Says:

Yes, I do think it looks nice!
That’s fun, when little ones start walking, isn’t it? Then they run and run away from you!

Wellll…maybe someday I’ll try canoeing! When I meet someone who has a canoe! Char has a rubber raft, and she and I go out on the lake with it sometimes when our families meet there! That’s fun! :D

Hey, that’s a good idea! :D I’ll have to do that sometime!

  4. Anne Says:

    He’ll be running before long!

Oh hey, you know we probably do have enough stories for an ebook! I’ve really got to start writing them down so we don’t forget them!

  5. Anne Says:

Oh yeah, it will be!! :D

Well, I was not sure which blog to leave a comment at……

Awwww, Zeke is really cute! How old is he? He looks a little younger that my sister Zarah. (she is 19 months old)

Okay, I guess I will keep posting comment here then. :D

Wow, I would have guessed Zeke to be about 15 months old! Zeke is your brother, right? How many siblings do you have? (I have 4 so far…)
